Terms of Service
The agreement for using Kidube — what the service is, how the household subscription and free trial work, and the rules that keep it safe for children.

Draft — pending legal review. This page is placeholder content for the Kidube launch build. It is not yet final, does not constitute legal advice, and is not a binding agreement. The published version will be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Kidube for your use of the Kidube apps, websites and services. By creating an account or using Kidube, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You must be an adult (the age of majority where you live) to create an account, and you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you set up.
What Kidube is
Kidube is an ad-free, subscription-funded, parent-curated kids' video platform. Parents decide exactly what their children watch. Children do not browse or search; they only see content a parent has assigned. Vetted creators upload child-appropriate video and are paid from the subscription pool by watch-time.
Accounts and households
You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your household account. One household subscription covers the family's devices and child profiles. Keep your password and parent gate private — they protect your children's experience.
Subscription, free trial and billing
Kidube is offered for €4.99 per household, per month, after a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel during the trial, your subscription begins automatically when the trial ends and renews each period until cancelled.
Payments and creator payouts are processed by Mollie; we never store your card details. You can cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout.
Acceptable use
When using Kidube you agree not to:
- Share your account in a way that exceeds normal household use, or resell access.
- Attempt to download, copy, scrape or redistribute Kidube-hosted video outside the app.
- Circumvent security, the parent gate, moderation or geographic or rights restrictions.
- Use the service unlawfully or in any way that could harm children or other users.
Creators
Creators who publish on Kidube agree to additional creator terms covering eligibility, content standards, rights and warranties, and payout mechanics. Creators are paid from the subscription pool based on genuine watch-time of their approved videos, with payouts handled via Mollie. Only content that passes moderation can be assigned by parents.
Content and moderation
Every Kidube-hosted video passes an automated pre-screen and a human review before it can reach a child. We may reject, remove or re-review content at our discretion to keep the platform safe. Moderation decisions are logged for an auditable trail. No moderation system is perfect, and you can report concerns to us at any time.
Externally embedded videos
If you choose to add a video from an external platform, it plays through that platform's official embedded player, subject to that platform's terms, and may show that platform's ads. Kidube does not control, host or remove third-party content and is not responsible for it; we only ever embed via official players and never download or re-host it.
Intellectual property
Kidube and its software, design, logos and content (other than creator and third-party content) are owned by Kidube and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your household. You retain ownership of content you upload, and grant Kidube the licence needed to host, moderate, deliver and promote it on the platform.
Disclaimers
Kidube is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to keep it safe, reliable and accurate, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular content will always be available. Curation and controls are powerful tools, but parental supervision remains essential.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kidube is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Kidube and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or to protect users or the platform. On termination, your right to use the service ends, and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws stated in the final published version, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live. This draft does not yet specify the governing jurisdiction; that will be confirmed on legal review.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Kidube evolves and will revise the “last updated” date above. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice. Continuing to use Kidube after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
