Kidube is a tool for parents, not a self-service app for kids

The Kidube account holder is an adult — a parent or guardian. Children never sign up, log in, or hold an account of their own. A child simply picks a profile on a device the grown-up has already unlocked, Netflix-style, and the parent stays in control of everything.

So while the videos are for children, the app itself is a control panel for the adult who runs the household: it is the parent who curates the library, sets the limits, and decides what each child can watch.

Parents choose every single video

There is no open browsing, no search, and no algorithmic recommendations anywhere in the experience. A child can only ever watch content a parent has explicitly added to that child's feed.

That is the heart of how Kidube keeps things appropriate: a trusted adult who knows the child makes every choice, instead of an algorithm or the open internet.

How parents keep content appropriate

• Human moderation gate: every Kidube-hosted video is reviewed and approved before it can reach any child — nothing is auto-published.
• Parent curation: parents add and organise videos into each child's named categories, and can remove anything instantly.
• Per-child controls: screen-time limits, a private parent gate to switch out of a child's profile, and per-profile settings (including turning short-form Reels on or off).
• No child accounts: nothing for a child to register for, be messaged through, or be advertised to.

Ad-free where we host, transparent about the rest

Kidube's own hosted library is ad-free, and the children's experience contains no third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking software.

For full transparency: a parent may also choose to add videos from outside platforms (for example YouTube or Facebook). Those play through each platform's official embedded player and therefore show that platform's own ads, which Kidube does not control. This is entirely opt-in and parent-curated — never open browsing — and Kidube never downloads or re-hosts anyone else's video.

Privacy and children's data

Kidube is built around the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the children's-data provisions of GDPR. We collect the minimum: a child profile holds only a first name or nickname (which may be a pseudonym), an avatar, and an age band the parent chooses. The parent, as account holder, controls it all.

You decide what is right for your child

Because you curate the library and set the controls, you decide what is suitable for your own child. We recommend keeping younger children's feeds small and closely reviewed, previewing new content before adding it, and using the per-child screen-time and Reels controls to match your child and your family's preferences.
